Tibumana Waterfall In Bali – A Complete Guide

Tibumana Waterfall Bali is one of the islands best kept secrets. An easy walk down and a beautiful swimming spot, here’s all the info for visiting.

How To Get To Tibumana Waterfall Bali

If you’re staying in Central Bali and searching for waterfalls near Ubud, Tibumana is super easy to get to.

We visited after our trip to Tukad Cepung Waterfall and it was a straight forward drive.

If you’re travelling from Canggu, it takes just over an hour with no traffic.

We always choose to rent scooters, which start at around 50,000 IDR per day, and explore ourselves.

However be sure to read up on our renting a scooter in Bali guide beforehand!

If you’re looking for somewhere to rent scooters from you can book a Bali Scooter or Motorbike Rental with Delivery.

Another option is to hire a Bali Private Car or Minibus Charter With Driver, which is pretty popular for day trips around Bali, and they start at around 500,000 IDR per day (8 hours).

From the car park of Tibumana it’s a simple 10 minute walk down to the falls itself.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

For the keen waterfall hunters, Ubud: Spectacular Waterfalls Tour visits Tibumana Waterfall as well as some other beauties.

Best Time To Visit Tibumana Waterfall + Tips

The best time to visit anywhere in Bali, if possible, is between April and October which is the island’s dry season.

You can visit the falls year round but you need to consider the increase in rainfall between November and March. This always makes the jungle treks a little more difficult and slippery.

We think that these falls will definitely become more popular as more travellers discover them. So, get there early if you want to avoid the crowds.

Swimming is allowed at Tibumana Waterfall but be sure to read and follow the rules displayed. There are a couple of locals that keep a look out.

There are a few small shops close to the car park where you can buy refreshments.

What To Expect At Tibumana Waterfall Bali

Tibumana Waterfall is definitely one of the Bali waterfalls that is still kind of a secret.

There are some tourists that visit Tibumana, however, it seems to be more of a favourite among locals.

Along with Tukad Cepung Waterfall, these two waterfalls near Ubud are definitely worth a visit on a sunny day.

The road into Tibumana is spectacular and one of the best palm tree lined roads we’ve seen in Bali.

Once parked up, the trail up to the Tibumana Waterfall itself is a simple one.

The short ten minute walk over bamboo bridges is mainly flat and safe, as well as maintained, so if you’re visiting with little ones, you can plod along with ease.
