Val Di Sole is one of the most scenic spots in Trentino with prime views of the alps. Here are 6 amazing things to do in Val Di Sole that you cannot miss!
1. Stelvio National Park Trekking
One of the top things to do in Val Di Sole Trentino is definitely to visit Stelvio National Park.
The National Park is a huge protected area in the centre of the alps in Northern Italy. There are all kinds of wildlife that are habitant to Stelvio. If you’re as lucky as we were you might even have a glimpse of the deers that live in the forest.
There are all kinds of nature trails dotted around Stelvio National Park, some even with WW1 military ruins.
Some treks are much harder than others, it all depends what you’re into. We did two day treks and really enjoyed seeing the different sides of the Valley.
For the really adventurous Rafting Down Noce River in Val di Sole takes you through this beautiful National Park.

2. Val Di Pejo
Val Di Pejo is another beautiful and very popular valley in the area of Trentino with only a small population of 1,800 people.
There are old style Italian cafes where you can stop and have a coffee and enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Alps.
In the winter Val Di Pejo is a popular area for the Ski lovers, thanks to it’s modern facilities and ski school attracting families and all ages. Whilst in the summer Val Di Pejo gives easy access to Stelvio National Park.

3. Lago Covel
Lago Covel is a glacial lake with beautiful reflections of the mountains in the backdrop.
It’s one of the most picturesque spots we visited in Val Di Sole, making it a haven for photographers.
Lago Covel is not all about the lake though. There is a small trek around the lake, which takes around half an hour at slow pace. In the summer Lago Covel is very popular amongst tourists looking for a picnic vibe. Don’t forget the stunning waterfall in the area too!

4. Pejo 3000
If you’re heading to Trentino in the winter, this is probably going to be one of your top things to do in Val Di Sole Trentino.
Pejo 3000 is a Ski area for the winter sports season. It is the new cable car that takes you up to 3000 metres carrying up to 100 people per cable car. The renovation of Pejo 3000 has allowed skiers to experience an even longer skiing track with an almost vertical drop.
From the top you can snowboard or ski down one of the most popular slopes in the region – the Val Della Mite Slope. This long descent to Peio Fonti is a mighty 8km stretch of snow.
There is also a cable car dropping skiers or snowboarders of at 2000 metres for the 4km slope with a track absorbing the beautiful valley as you descend.

5. Lago Dei Caprioli
Lago Dei Caprioli is huge lake situated in the heart of Val Di Sole Trentino.
This should definitely be high on your list of things to do in Val Di Sole Trentino. It’s a secluded area for a peaceful afternoon walk and like most of the beautiful lakes in this region, Lago Dei Caprioli also has insane reflections.
The pine trees, snow capped mountains and nature walkways give it a real enchanted forrest feel.

6. Eat, Eat, Eat!
As you may already know Itay is super famous for it’s pasta and do they eat it every day? Yes almost!
Everyone we asked ate pasta three times a week minimum, and normally as a lunch time meal.
All the pasta dishes we managed to try, were by far the best pasta dishes we’ve ever eaten!
This may not be one of the usual things to do in Val Di Sole Trentino but if it’s your first time in Italy, like us, you should definitely try it.
