Sierra Helada Natural Park In Benidorm – A Complete Guide

If you’re feeling adventurous on holiday, the Sierra Helada Natural Park trail from Benidorm to Albir is amazing. Here’s everything you need to know.

About Sierra Helada Natural Park

Sierra Helada Natural Park is a mountain and marine conservation area spanning across 13,750 acres in total.

It’s best explored by boat or hiking trails, and is also one of the top adventurous things to do in the Benidorm.

With 300 metre cliffs, and epic views out across the Mediterranean Sea, we spent a whole morning crossing the 8km Sierra Helada Natural Park trail, from Benidorm to Albir.

The starting point is from The Cross Monument looking out over Benidorm town. And the trail takes around 4 hours to cross at a steady pace.

It is a pretty straight forward trail to follow if you stick to the cliff edges. Although we recommend taking a guide as these guys have done the trek hundreds of times.

We used Marco Polo Expeditions and our guide was fantastic!

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

Not only that, but you can explore its famous national park and enjoy the walk along the Spanish Mediterranean coast.

Keep aiming towards the antennas until you make it to the end of the trail and then follow signs down to Albir. The sign says 438m which took around 30 minutes to descend.
