What To Expect At Red Rock Hot Spring

Red Rock Hot Spring is a really fascinating piece of nature and definitely one of the best things to do in the Philippines.

It gets its source of warm water, ranging from 37.5 – 39.5 degrees celsius, from a naturally occurring spring that comes from the sulphur mountain beside it.

It started as a private sanctuary to relieve stress and was owned by a local family from Valencia. They then decided to build a pool to accommodate more family members.

Then other people started to make use of and enjoy the waters, which prompted the owners to open it officially for the public and name it Red Rock Hot Spring.

Around 5 minutes before you hit the springs you’ll cross a bridge with steam rising from underneath the rocks. In case you’re unsure if you’re in the right spot, you’ll be hit with a strong eggy smell which is the sulphur.

Inside Red Rock Hot Spring though there are no bad smells, just smiling faces. The owners are super friendly and welcomed us with open arms.

It’s an ideal way to spend some time after exploring, or just to take some down time and relieve the body of its aches and pains.

There were a few tourists when we visited but it still felt like a super comfortable place to relax. There are two pools to dip into, with one being quite shallow.

When it starts getting dark the area lights making for an even more special and relaxing ambience.

So, after exploring the cold water of the surrounding waterfalls of Casaroro and Pulangbato, what better way to spend the evening!

Hi, my wife and I want to spend 1-2 weeks there. Is there on site lodging? If so prices for a budget room. If not, where should we book a room that is close by? Ty
