Paliton Beach is located on the West side of Siquijor, close to the town of San Juan, and is the most popular place for sunset on the island.

A popular day trip that visits Paliton Beach, if you are staying in Dumaguete, is the Siquijor Island & Cambugahay Falls Private Tour.
Beers, soft drinks, crepes and snacks are all available from local stands starting at 50 Pesos.
Paliton Beach Opening Times
Open all day, every day.
The best time to visit the Philippines is between November and April, the island’s dry season.
The island of Siquijor is good to visit anytime within these dates, as it’s so spread out that it doesn’t seem to get too touristy even in the peak holiday season.
Paliton Beach is the perfect place to be at the end of the day, ready to catch the stunning sunsets it offers!
The sun sinks beautifully behind the ocean and this is where the majority of people head for their evenings on Siquijor.

The best sunset spot on the island and one of the best things to do in the Philippines.
Paliton Beach sits directly on the West Coast of Siquijor, giving the perfect view come sunset most evenings.
It’s only a small area of beach, however the clear water and soft sand make for a great afternoon/evening relaxing under the overhanging palm trees.
Known as one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, it can however be easy to miss from the main street as there are no signs. Luckily, the locals are all super friendly and happy to point you in the right direction.
If you arrive at the beach in the daytime, you’re likely to find a few people swimming as well as tourists taking photo’s with the popular rope swings.
The water is quite shallow, so if you want to swim, head a bit further out with care and beware of the jellyfish.
We recommend laying a blanket down and grabbing a spot as early as possible, as come sundown the beach can start to fill up, depending on the season.
The Paliton Beach Sunsets
We headed down to Paliton Beach nearly every evening of our stay on Siquijor, always at around 5pm.
The vibes are good, not your typical drunk tourist vibes, but a more relaxed scene – great for those that really want to enjoy the atmosphere.
There are a handful of local stalls selling beers, soft drinks, crepes and snacks if you are looking for refreshments. And of course a few cute beach pups usually hanging around to play with.
For us, Paliton Beach is the perfect place to end any day of exploring and to make some lasting memories watching the sun sink and fade in the distance.
Overall, although it’s pretty small, don’t miss a trip to Paliton Beach off your Siquijor itinerary. We think that you’ll agree, this is one of the prettiest places on the island to grab a coconut and relax.
