Maenam Beach In Koh Samui – A Complete Guide

Maenam Beach Koh Samui is one of the most pristine on the island. With crystal clear sand and not at all touristy here’s all you need to know when visiting.

How To Get To Maenam Beach Koh Samui

Maenam Beach Koh Samui is located in the very North of the island along a beautiful strip of sand.

We stayed in the Chaweng area of Koh Samui and rented a scooter for 150 Baht per day. This gave us access to the whole island!

It took us around 30 minutes to drive up from Chaweng to Maenam Beach, and whilst in the area we definitely recommend checking out Bophut Beach & Bophut Fisherman Village which are just 5 minutes down the road.

If you’re looking for transport to and from Koh Samui, you can pre-book all of your Lomprayah transfers.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

What To Expect At Maenam Beach Koh Samui

Maenam Beach Koh Samui was honestly one of the most peaceful and best beaches on the island.

With an entrance that caught our eye and plenty of resorts popping up in the area it’s definitely an up and coming spot!

This long stretch of beach tends to be quieter than the very lively Chaweng Beach or Lamai Beach, or even the neighbouring Bophut Beach.

Therefore, you will find fewer beach vendors as well as more space to find your own spot to chill.

The sand is powdery and the water SO SO blue! Not to mention the hundreds of palm trees lined up along the back of the beach.

At 4km long, this beach is perfect for long beach strolls and the warm relaxing swims in the turquoise blue sea.

At midday, the huge palm trees offer some cool shade if needed. Also, the few resorts that are on Maenam Beach provide umbrellas and beach chairs free of charge.

There’s not a lot more to say about Maenam Beach apart from, if you’re looking for a beautiful beach away from the crowds, with mature surroundings, then this is your spot!
