7 Most Instagrammable Places In Bangkok

If you’re looking for the most Instagrammable places in Bangkok to fill your feed with beauty, then look no further.

1. Bangkok Temples

It wouldn’t be Thailand without temples!

First up on the Instagrammable places in Bangkok list are Wat Arun and Wat Pho. These were by far our favourite temples amongst the 400+ in the capital.

We recommend adding a couple of the famous monuments to your Bangkok itinerary, and the easiest way to reach them is by jumping on the Chao Phraya Express Boat (River Ferry).

You can book your Chao Phraya River: Hop-On Hop-Off Boat Pass in advance.

If you being at Wat Arun, it’s then just an extra 4 Baht for to take the local government boat across the river to Wat Pho.

Taking photos at the temple is always difficult as they’re extremely crowded so we recommend visiting as early as possible!

There are also popular temple tours, such as the Flexi Walking Temple Tour, that include entrance fees to all the attractions and a local guide to help immerse you into the cultural and historical heritage of Bangkok.

Just be sure to dress appropriately before visiting, as shoulders and legs must always be covered when visiting the temples in Bangkok!

2. Lebua State Tower

Any Instagrammable places in Bangkok bucket list wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the world famous Lebua State Tower.

Not only was it made famous by Bradley Cooper and the gang when filming The Hangover, but the Lebua Sky Bar gives the best views of the capital’s skyline.

After exploring the temples in the day, you probably deserve a cocktail or two, as you sit back and take in the incredible views from the ‎247m high rooftop!

Whilst up there though, make sure to grab a quick photo at one of the most famous Bangkok Instagram spots!

It is open to the public, if you are dressed smartly, and there is plenty of standing space available at the outdoor viewing platforms.

However, for those looking to reserve a table to enjoy there cocktails from, we recommend booking one as far in advance as possible!

Or even more so you could always reserve a room!

3. Lumphini Park

Lumphini Park is one of the largest green spaces in central Bangkok.

Which makes it not only a beautiful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, but a great spot to capture an awesome photo looking back at the skyscrapers.

Founded in the 1920s, this inner-city park spans over 500,000 sqm, and is easy to reach by getting off at Silom MRT Station.

It’s usually very quiet, with only a couple of snack stalls open in the park, so you should be left alone to take advantage of this – one of the lesser known Bangkok Instagram spots.

Just keep your eyes out for the large monitor lizards, which are pretty impressive, but may just steal your lunch!

If you’re looking to get your legs working, and fancy exploring the greener side of Bangkok, there is also a Bangkok City Culture 3-Hour Bike Tour.

4. Airplane Graveyard

The Airplane Graveyard is one of the most unique things to see in the city.

Not your typical tourist spot, it was certainly one of our favourite Bangkok Instagram spots!

The history of the planes, an abandoned 747 and two smaller MD-82’s, sit in pieces on this urban wasteland.

The easiest way to reach the Airplane Graveyard is to take a taxi/Uber. The correct address to give is Soi Ramkhamhaeng 103, which is located just off Ramkhamhaeng Road.

The entrance fee is as much a mystery as the airplane graveyard itself.

Run by a local family, it seems to depend on what kind of mood they’re in when you visit. However we paid 400 Baht for the two of us!

Either way, it makes for a great spot to add to your Instagrammable places in Bangkok list, and for those tourists looking to get off the beaten track and see something a little different.

5. Creative District

We hadn’t heard of the Creative District before we arrived in the capital, and were lucky to find it thanks to a local friend.

It’s the hub of diversity, where east meets west and the old sits with the new. When we visited it was like stepping into another world.

The Creative District can be found around the streets of the Bangrak and Khlong San districts. Connected by a ferry between the Chao Phraya River.

There are many wall murals with unusual and beautiful pieces that all tell a story.

And after walking around and grabbing some photos for your Instagrammable places in Bangkok list, you can enjoy a bite to eat in the quirky cafes just around the corner at The Knack Market.

We actually took a tour of the Creative District with Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel and we recommend them as a great way to see all the top hidden gems within a short amount of time.

6. Chong Nonsi Station

There’s very little to say for this spot, expect for that we happened to see the arched bridge in an article online, so jumped off the skytrain to grab a photo underneath it!

Chong Nonsi is a BTS skytrain station on the Silom Line in the Bang Rak District of Bangkok.

The area itself is just another business district, surrounded by many business buildings and upscale neighbourhoods.

The steel bridge spans over 30 metres, and accommodates over 10,000 commuters daily. Connect the Chong Nonsi BTS station and the Sathorn BRT station.

Not the most interesting destination on the Instagrammable places in Bangkok list, but it sure makes for a pretty photo!

7. Bangkok Skyline

Aside from the obvious locations, Bangkok has some pretty epic viewpoints from where you can snap the skyscrapers overlooking the city.

We’ll leave you to explore and find your favourite ones, however one of the coolest we found was from this pool at Golden Tulip Mandison Suites.

We spent a couple of nights relaxing in the Thailand sun and taking in the views of the city surrounding us!
