Ingkumhan Falls In Bohol – A Complete Guide

Ingkumhan Falls is one of the up and coming spots on Bohol and was our favourite hidden gem on the island. Here all the info for visiting.

How To Get To Ingkumhan Falls

Ingkumhan Falls is located in the South of the island of Bohol.

The best way to get around Bohol is to rent scooters for around 350 Pesos per day and explore.

If you’re not confident on scooters, there are always locals hanging around on trikes, just make sure to barter the price before you ride.

Usually tourists heading over to Bohol Island stay in the areas of Panglao or Tagbilaran City.

If you haven’t yet booked your Cebu-Bohol: Fast-Track Ferry Ticket you can do so in advance.

From Tagbilaran to the falls, the drive took us just over 1 hour on scooter.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

Best Time to Visit Ingkumhan Falls

The best time to travel to the Philippines is in the dry season which is between November and April.

These months enjoy hot yet pleasant temperatures without the humidity of the summer months.

As Ingkumhan Falls is a little off the beaten track, it doesn’t seem to get as busy as some waterfalls, although this might change as word spreads.

The large pool at the base of the falls makes it a great place to have a swim and cool off.

Definitely one for your Philippines Itinerary.

What To Expect At Ingkumhan Falls

This was definitely our favourite of the Bohol waterfalls and, for us, one of the best things to do in the Philippines.

We got a little lost when we were close to the turn off but a woman called Marylin spotted us looking confused and walked us all the way to the falls.

It turns out we were super close. It took 15 minutes to walk down the slope/steps to the falls. Not only that, she spent time with us at Ingkumhan Falls and insisted on making us dinner after our enjoyable visit.

It’s an off the beaten track destination with a beautiful, scenic walk down. Of all the Bohol tourist spots, Ingkumhan Falls should definitely be considered as one of the top things to do in Bohol.

The road up to Ingkumhan Falls is super adventurous and it’s definitely worth the long drive. The waters are crystal clear so you might even spot some fishes swimming around you.

There’s also a swing at the falls and a spot where you can jump from!
