How To Get To Gitgit Waterfall Bali

Located in the North of the island, people tend to head to Gitgit Waterfall from Lovina.

If you are making a day of heading up North to chase waterfalls, you can also stop at Sekumpul, Aling Aling, Leke Leke and Nungnung Waterfall.

What To Expect At Gitgit Waterfall Bali

There are paved steps all the way and it’s completely family friendly. The hike to the waterfall take around 15 minutes.

The grounds are well maintained and since tourism has boomed in Bali, the whole journey to the waterfall is a trail in between markets.

So on you’re way back to your car or motorcycle, you’re bound to be stopped a few times to buy a sarong and a key ring or 5.

Situated high up in the mountains and surrounded by stunning rice paddies, Gitgit Waterfall is definitely a rising hotspot for tourism. It’s a jungle heaven for all photographers and day to day tourists.

The parking area is situated on a main road, with a few shops nearby so there’s plenty of food and refreshments available.

The Waterfall Itself

At the base of the waterfall there are toilets and changing facilities. As well as a seating area to place your bags.

There are no lockers though, so be sure to keep an eye on your belongings.

You can swim right up to the intensity of the falls. Or if you’re looking to chill in a more quiet area, you can head back a little from Gitgit Waterfall and relax in the pools at the bottom of the rocks.

You can find this spot just to the left of the toilets.
