We stayed at the Northern end of Sairee Beach, the tourist hub of Koh Tao. We rented scooters for 150 Baht per day. This is the easiest way possible to explore the whole island.

What To Expect At Freedom Beach Koh Tao
Freedom Beach is probably one of the most well known Koh Tao beaches on the south coast amongst travellers.
This is down to it’s super cosy and tucked away vibes, and the secluded feeling it gives off.
It wasn’t super busy when we visited but it was definitely a stunning little spot. With a beach hut bar and plenty of trees for shade, it made for the perfect place to chill out for the afternoon.
There’s not a lot to do at Freedom Beach apart from laze in hammocks or take a walk around the bay to Taa Toh Bay. Another hidden gem!
Also, if you’re feeling energetic, make sure to pop up to John-Suwan Viewpoint before you leave! For one of the best viewpoints on Koh Tao.
