Cima Vezzena, aka Pizzo Di Levico, is the number one spot to see the stunning views of Valsugana Valley and more from 1908m high. Here’s all the details.
How To Get To Cima Vezzena
The starting point of the hike to Cima Vezzena is located at Vezzena Pass, located along the SS 349 which goes from Lavarone to Asiago.
It’s also just a short 25 minute drive from Caldonazzo.
After reaching Vezzena Pass, you can park at Hotel Vezzena or Ristorante al Verle.
From either of these points, simply follow the signs along the paved road towards Cima Vezzena.
We recommend renting a car for your entire Italy trip. That way you can pick up the car from the airport and explore the region at ease.
Another option is of course a private taxi to Vezzena Pass.

What To Pack

What To Expect At Cima Vezzena
The Cima Vezzena Peak, also known as Mount Pizzo Di Levico, starts at Passo Vezzena (1402m high).
The trek is an easy, flat gravelled trail leading up to a 1908m peak.
Towards the start of the trek, you pass through some pleasantly shaded forest.
However, after this you will be directly beneath the sun, so don’t forget your sunscreen.
It takes roughly 1.5 hours to reach the amazing panoramic views from the top. You can also take the same route on the way down.
Shortly before you reach the top, the remains of a former fortress will become visible.
It was completely destroyed at the beginning of the first World War and the colour of the cement is exactly the same as the rocks.
So, not only are you rewarded with the views from the summit, but the great Forte Cima Vezzena is a real gem too.
From the top, you can spot many recognisable places down below, a few being, Valsugana Valley, the Brenta Dolomites and the two lakes, Lago Di Caldonazzo and Lago Di Levico.
