Cambugahay Falls In Siquijor – A Complete Guide

Cambugahay Falls Siquijor is one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines. It was our favourite spot on the island, and here’s all the info for visiting.

How To Get To Cambugahay Falls

Cambugahay Falls Siquijor is located towards the East side of the island and is around a 40 minute drive from Paliton Beach.

The best way to get around Siquijor is to rent scooters for around 350 Pesos per day and explore.

If you’re not confident on scooters there are always locals hanging around on trikes, just make sure to barter the price before you ride.

Simply head along the south coastline and follow the signs, or google maps, to reach one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines.

For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

One of the popular day trips is Dumaguete: Siquijor Island & Cambugahay Falls Private Tour.

Best Time To Visit Cambugahay Falls

The best time to visit the Philippines is between November and April, the island’s dry season.

Siquijor is good to visit anytime within these dates as it’s so spaced out that it doesn’t seem to get too touristy.

As with any attraction, the earlier the better, and Cambugahay Falls is no different.

We visited once early in the morning, and had the whole place to ourselves, and again at midday when there were quite a few tourists jumping in.

For a really fun experience, don’t miss this off your Philippines Itinerary.

What To Expect At Cambugahay Falls In Siquijor

Cambugahay Falls is one of the top things to do in Siquijor, and was possibly our favourite waterfall in the Philippines.

Purely because of the size of the pools and the three different tiers! Oh, and the multiple rope swings.

Many tourists head here first on their Siquijor itinerary! So we were prepared for it to be a busy place, although it wasn’t as crowded as we expected when we arrived at around midday.

It’s an easy walk down, around 100 steps and takes just 5 mins. So pretty suitable for children and families.

We paid 50 Pesos for unlimited swings on the rope and spent a good couple of hours hanging out at Cambugahay Falls.

The locals were super friendly and enthusiastic, welcoming us into the one of the top tourist spots in Siquijor. If you’re lucky, they might even grab your GoPro and take a swing themselves.

There are a couple of swings, rubber rings, rafts as well as plenty of chill spots/photo opportunities. So take your time and don’t miss one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines!

Moreover, for us, this was not only one of the best waterfalls in the Philippines but also one of the best things to do in the Philippines.
