Benidorm Island is the no.1 of all Benidorm boat trips. It’s cheap, easy and a perfect afternoon out! Here’s all you need to know about visiting.
How To Get To Benidorm Island
Benidorm Island is only accessible by boat and is one of the most popular Benidorm boat trips available. Giving one of the best Benidorm viewpoints in the area.
The ferries depart every hour from the port in the old town, and from Levante Beach during the summer.
It’s not necessary to book in advance, simply turn up at the box office in the local port and look for the Benidorm Island signs.
The quickest and easiest way to get around Benidorm is on E-Bikes.
We always choose to rent bikes from Tao Bike, which start at around £30 per day, and explore ourselves.
For those short on time, or that prefer everything to be organised for them, there are some awesome tours on Get Your Guide available to book in advance.

What To Pack
What To Expect On Benidorm Island
Benidorm Island is a very small island, sitting approximately 3.5 kilometres from the Spanish mainland. It is also a nature reserve of spain.
Super close to the holiday town, it’s just a five minute ferry ride from Levante Beach. You can in fact get a great view of the Island from Balcon Del Mediterraneo.
There are boats going back and forth to the island every hour.
They are generally 3-tier boats too. So if you’re into the underwater world, you can enjoy some of the most colourful sea life in Europe, all from the underwater boat window.
This is probably one of the main reasons that it’s one of the best Benidorm boat trips. It’s family friendly and gives some impressive views of Benidorm.
There’s a submarine tour that takes part next door to the island lasting around 10 minutes. We didn’t take this tour, but the reviews are all amazing and people generally says it’s well worth it!

The Benidorm Island Trail
When you arrive at the island you can explore the trail by foot.
It takes around 10/15 minutes to reach the top at a slow pace. So Benidorm island is entirely suitable for families and the stunning views of Benidorm from the top are really worth the ride.
Nobody lives on the island but there is a restaurant and bar with toilets.
So after your small hike to the top you can relax and watch the busy Benidorm coast from afar. Or even catch people on jet skis or taking part in Benidorm water sports off the coast.
It’s also best to be mindful of the rocky path on the way up and wear closed shoes/trainers.
So although we may be biased, we had a fantastic afternoon on the island and can see why it’s one the favourite Benidorm boat trips.
