The History Of Arkaden
Arkaden was previously a collection of nightclubs and bars, but when they closed, it was left rundown for quite some time. Then the food market stepped in.
As you can imagine, a lot of people felt a strong connection towards Arkaden Odense, thanks to the good times they had at the bars and clubs. The building gave a fair few people almost a sense of community.
So, when Arkaden Street Food opened, the founders wanted to ensure that what they were offering was unique and something that couldn’t be found on any street corner in Odense.
They made sure the set-up offers a really great community vibe, with everyone sitting on the long benches next to each other.
If you visit Arkaden on a busy day, you could well find yourself sitting next to and talking to someone you don’t know That’s what is so great about it and gives the food court a real communal spirit.
People have really enjoyed the fact that it’s back up and running again, as they believe it’s always great to meet new people.
